Who coopted whom?
Interesting things being said by Leiter Reports here.
My viewpoint is that Christ is first, politics second. Therefore, when the democratic candidate has the more Christian view on a given issue, we vote for him. If the republican, libertarian, or communist has the more Christian view, we vote for him. In other words, let them agree with our Lord, and then we’ll have agreement with them.
26. It seems then, that the Religious Right picks its sins selectively, ignoring the clear Biblical message against avarice, pride, and anger, and emphasizing selected “sins” that have little to no Biblical basis.
I’m frustrated also by the “Republican == Christian” idea today. Being a Christian in truth means simply “Let God be God, and all men be liars” — we don’t side with a side. We side with a Savior.
My interest is not an endorsement of Mr. Leiter, of whom I know little.

“Little to no Biblical basis.” The guy is apparently reading a different Bible…
