Blogging Ottinger (tim)Richard Stallman makes it clear that java is still not particularly free, and not particularly open. Nor is there any indication that it will be. Nice that it’s available for Debian, etc, but not as nice as it would be if they would open up their hearts just a bit and let the community that made them wealthy and famous have some control.
